Pierre Lyonet’n kotilokokoelma vuodelta 1755. Planssiteoksen akvarelleissa on kuvattu 1400 erilaista kotiloa. Teos on kulkeutunut Hollannista Ruotsiin 1795 ja sieltä Venäjän lähettilään Peter van Suchtelenin kirjakokoelmassa Kansalliskirjastoon.

Pierre Lyonet’s shell collection from 1755. Its splendid watercolors depict almost 1,400 different specimens. The ”Shell Cabinet” travelled from Holland to Sweden in 1795, then to the ownership of the Russian ambassador Peter van Suchtelen, and eventually to Finland when his collection was donated to the National Library.
