Tiivistelmä
Satu Beverley, the writer of the history worked for four years as a welfare officer at the Department of Immigration amongst the Finns in Sydney. She has been an active member of the Finnish community in Australia over four decades holding many honorary positions including secretary of the Sydney Finnish Club, a foundation member and ex-teacher of the Sydney Finnish School, a foundation member and current Chair of Palvelupiste Finnish Lutheran Community Care, a life member and ex-Board member of the Australian Finnish Resthome Association and an ex-member of the Australian Federation of Finnish Societies and Clubs.
